Terrifying Day

           November 5,2011, was a terrifying day  for me. It was midnight on Saturday. I was alone in the home because my parents went outside. Suddenly I heard something , it seem that the boy was crying. I tried to look up it, but I find nothing. A few minutes later, my dog howled. I am so very scared. I went to bed quickly.  After that , the bed started to shake and the weather was cool.  Shortly after, I saw the boy at the window. he was very frighten. Finally , it was the  nightmare. !!!!

Earthquake

        An earthquake is a sudden shake of the Earth's crust caused by the tectonic plates colliding. The vibrations may vary in magnitude. The underground point of origin of the earthquake is called the "focus". The point directly above the focus on the surface is called the"epicenter". Earthquakes by themselves rarely kill people or wildlife. It is usually the secondary events that they trigger, such as building collapse, fires, tsunamis (seismic sea waves) and volcanoes, that are actually the human disaster. Many of these could possibly   be avoided by better construction, safety systems, early warning and evacuation planning.Earthquakes are caused by the discharge of energy accumulated along geologic fault.

           แผ่นดินไหวนั้นเป็นปรากฏการณ์สั่นสะเทือนอย่างฉับพลันของเปลือกโลกที่เกิดจากแผ่นเปลือกโลกชนกัน การสั่นสะเทือนอาจแตกต่างกัน   จุดใต้ดินการเกิดแผ่นดินไหวที่เรียกว่า  "โฟกัส"    จุดเน้นดังกล่าวข้างต้นเหนือจุดโฟกัสบนพื้นผิวที่เป็นที่เรียกว่า "ศูนย์กลาง"    การเกิดแผ่นดินไหวแทบจะไม่ฆ่าคนหรือสัตว์ป่า    มันมักจะเกิดเหตุการณ์ที่สองตามมา   เช่น อาคารพัง , ไฟไหม้,    คลื่นสึนามิ   (คลื่นน้ำทะเลที่เกิดจากแผ่นดินไหว)   และภูเขาไฟที่เป็นภัยพิบัติของมนุษย์  ทั้งหลายเหล่านี้อาจจะหลีกเลี่ยงได้โดย   การก่อสร้างที่ดีกว่าระบบการเตือนภัยและวางแผนอพยพ  แผ่นดินไหวเกิดจากการปลดปล่อยของพลังงานที่สะสมทางธรณีวิทยา
